This study attempted to investigate the effect of group board game play programs on self-elasticity and basic psychological needs for psychological adaptation of adolescents. To this end, a total of 10 students, 5 students attending H Middle School in Daejeon Metropolitan City, and 5 students attending the same school as a control group were selected for the program. From April 1 to May 31, 2022, the experiment period was conducted for 50 minutes every session, once a week, and a total of 10 sessions. To verify the effectiveness of the group board game play program, two experimental and control groups were verified in advance, and the self-elasticity scale developed by Lee Sun-young (2008) and modified by Oh Young-sook (2010) and Ryan and Deci (2004) and "Basic Psychological Needs Scale" modified by Lee Myung-hee and Kim Ah-young (2008). For data processing, paired t-test, independent sample t-test were performed using SPSS. 21. The results of this study are as follows. First, the experimental group that participated in the group board game play program significantly increased self-elasticity (personal relationship, vitality, emotional control, and optimism) than the control group. Second, the experimental group that participated in the group board game play program significantly increased basic psychological needs (autonomy, competence, relationship) than the control group. Therefore, it was confirmed that it was effective in improving the self-elasticity and basic psychological needs of adolescents, autonomy, competence, and relationship through research on group board game play programs.
